Stone Temple Pilot

วงร็อคฝีมือดีจากอเมริกา ที่มียอดขายจาก 5 อัลบั้มแรกมากกว่า 35 ล้านชุดทั่วโลก อย่าง Stone Temple Pilots กลับมาพร้อมกับอัลบั้มชุดใหม่ ซึ่งห่างหายจากชุดล่าสุดอย่าง Shangri-La Dee Da นานถึงเกือบ 10 ปี หลังจากที่ประกาศแยกวงในปี 2003 และได้กลับมารวมตัวกันออกทัวร์อีกครั้งเมื่อ 2 ปีก่อน

โดยในอัลบั้มชุดใหม่ที่ใช้ชื่อเดียวกับวงว่า Stone Temple Pilots ก็ยังคงกลั่นกรองมาจากประสบการณ์ทางดนตรีที่เข้มข้นของสมาชิกทั้ง 4 คนดั้งเดิมอย่าง Scott Weiland (นักร้องนำ), Dean DeLeo (มือกีต้าร์), Robert DeLeo (มือเบส) และ Eric Kretz (มือกลอง) ซึ่งแต่ละคนก็พัฒนาฝีมือขึ้นมากในช่วงเกือบ 10 ปีที่ผ่านมา

Wrapping up singles A to M alongside a host of bonus material, the compilation illustrates Ashs rejuvenated creative zeal. Currently back in their Manhattan HQ recording tracks which will complete the second half of the series, Ash have been spurred on by the unique challenge of a singles only future. The scrutiny of each track being drip-fed to fans, juxtaposed by freedom from the traditional 2-year album cycle, has fostered a new Ash era of diverse, imaginative pop.While the rock electro hybrids True Love 1980 and Space Shot have broken through to the airwaves, the consistent quality of the series is backed up by the varied and original song writing on the tracks in between. The 3-minute gem Ichiban, the expansive dynamic rock of Joy Kicks Darkness, the classic Wheeler love song Tracers and the atmospheric tale of humanity lost Pripyat are amongst the bands responses to the creative everest that is a 26 single campaign.

JAMES The Morning After (2010 UK 8-track CD album - Following the release of its companion, 'The Night Before', 'The Morning After' has an intuitive, low-key 'campfire' feel and features some of the saddest, darkest lyrics Booth has ever come up with. From bluesy opener, 'Got The Shakes', about an alcoholic guy waking up and realizing he has beaten his wife, through to its closer 'Fear' - Atmospheric, experimental and just a little bit haunted, 'Fear' tackles that dominant inner monologue that stalks the life that's lived too long. With additional highlights including 'Look Away' for the simple reason that it is almost impossible to listen to it without singing along, and 'Tell Her I Said So' about Booth's mother dying in a home, which ironically shows the first signs of light, suddenly embracing disco, employs a childrens' choir and becomes curiously life affirming).
