Universal Music releases DVD + ticket promotion for the concert the band offered in March 2010

From November 30 goes on sale on DVD Metallica "Pride, passion and glory three nights in Mexico City ', recorded on 4, 6 and 7 June of this year's Forum in Mexico City Sun under Magnetic Worl Tour.
 
The photographer Halfing Ross was responsible for this work.  Halfing and had previously worked with Metallica and also with major artists like Led Zeppelin, The Who, AC / DC among others.

'Pride, passion and glory three nights in the city of Mexico "includes 19 live songs that stand among the classics Creeping Death, Fior Whom the Bell Tolls, Ride the Lightning, One, The Memory Remains, Sad But True, The Unforgiven, The Day That Never Comes, Master of Puppets, Nothing Else Matters, Seek & Destroy and nter Sandman.

To promote this launch will be in record stores since 30 November, the record label Universal Music reports that the first 5,000 people to buy the ticket for the Metallica concert offered next March 10 in Bogotá, will be first for this first edition of the DVD.

Those interested can purchase the input at a point on the slip, at the Call Center or at the website of the same company.  Once you have the tickets in hand, they should speak with a representative of your ticket and buy the DVD for $ 28,000.  Universal Music specifies that buyers must agree with the company how the product will deliver the music, because there is still no hard copies available to give.

This promotion is valid between 13 and 14 November for fan club members and from 17 November for the general public.

Live DVD filmed in Mexico City Available November 30

In June of this year we were fortunate enough to return to Mexico City for three sold out shows at Foro Sol Stadium and with 155,000 of you there over the three nights, we knew it would be extra special. So we asked our friend Wayne Isham to join us with a film crew and the results of that crazy, magical, most memorable long weekend will be available on DVD and CD starting November 30 as "Orgullo, Pasion y Gloria: Tres Noches En La Ciudad de Mexico" ("Pride, Passion, and Glory: Three Nights in Mexico City").
The region free DVD's and CD's include songs from all three shows recorded on June 4, 6, and 7. Each show had a unique set list, totaling 34 different songs . . . they're all there on the two DVD set along with interviews with us. Other versions that will be available include one DVD (18 tracks), Blu-ray version of that DVD, a digi-pack with the DVD and two CD's, and finally the aforementioned deluxe version in a slip case with two DVD's and two CD's. Track listings for each configuration can be seen here. In keeping with the local theme, all the credits will be in Spanish (Portuguese for our Brazilian buddies) and will only be available at stores in Latin America. Of course we will also have it in The Official Metallica.com Store, starting sometime the week of December 7.

Most areas of Latin America will have the DVD available on November 30, however if you live in Brazil, check your local music store on December 8 and for fans in Argentina and Chile, "Orgullo, Pasion y Gloria: Tres Noches En La Ciudad de Mexico" hits the stores on December 10. All DVD's are region free and will play on any player worldwide.

And of course since we had such an amazing time in Mexico, we can't wait to go back . . . we'll see you in Monterrey and Guadalajara in March. More details on those shows coming very soon!

ผมขอเดาว่าตอนนี้ทางวงเล่นการตลาดแบบใหม่คือออกดีวีดีของแต่ประเทศแล้วขายในบางประเทศเท่านั้น เหมือนๆที่ขายดาวน์โหลดแต่ละโชว์แบบ mp3, flac มาหลายปีแล้ว งานนี้ทำออกมาเพื่อกำจัดพวก bootleg dvd หรือเปล่า ? ที่แน่ๆรวยกันเละตามเคย เพราะแฟนๆต้องไล่ตามซื้อเก็บทุกชุด

555 กิเลสยังมีอยู่ในตัวแฟน ๆ เสมอครับ แต่ผมอยากให้แกทำ box-set แปลกๆ ออกมาหน่อย (ไม่เอาแบบกล่องคุ๊กกี้นะครับ)
ดูจากการตลาดตัวนี้แล้ว ยังไง ๆ แฟน ๆ ก็ต้องซื้อแบบ 2dvd+2cd รวยเละอีกตามเคย  ;D

ไม่ไหวแล้ว สงสัยต้องสอยอีกชุด

อยากได้เวอร์ชั่น 2 dvd + 2 cd เหมือนกัน เพราะดีวีดีแผ่นสองนี่มีเพลงที่ไ่ม่ค่อยเล่นบ่อยด้วย แต่กลัวสั่งแล้วเดือนหน้าจะมีเวอร์ชั่นอิตาลี สเปน อะไรออกมาอีก สุดท้ายออกเป็นแบบ worldwide edition ปิดท้าย  :D

อัดอั้นมานานหลังจาก Cunning Stunts

ดูจากมุมกล้อง, การตัดต่อและอารมณ์คนดูแล้วดุเดือดกว่าของชุดที่เล่นที่ฝรั่งเศสมาก แถมมีเพลงครบ 3 คืนด้วย แต่สถานที่ของฝรั่งเศสดูขลังกว่าเยอะ ต้องเก็บทั้งหมดใช่ไหมเนี่ย ?

เก็บให้หมดเถอะครับ เพราะมันเป็นดีวีดีไลฟ์แรกที่มี Rob Trujillo การเล่น การแสดง มีพลังมากกว่าตอน Jason เยอะ
ปล. ทางวงมีแผนการออกดีวีดีที่เล่นที่ Canada เื่มื่อเดือนตุลา๊ ที่ผ่านมาอีกด้วย

ถ้าตามซื้อหมดนี่มันจะบานปลายแน่ๆ ว่าแต่ตัวทีเด็ดสุดท้ายนี่ผมเดาว่าต้องแสดงบนเวทีโลงศพแน่นอน

On July 7th of this year we were honored to perform at Arenes de Nimes, the historic Roman amphitheatre in Nimes, France, easily one of the most spectacular venues in the world. We thought it would be a memorable night, so we asked our friends in France to bring along a film crew to document the festivities. The result is "Francais Pour Une Nuit" (translation: "French For One Night"), the DVD of the evening including the full show, interviews with us, and five videos shot by YOU, our buddies in the audience. All this and more will be available starting November 23, 2009!

"Francais Pour Une Nuit" was extra special for us because not only was it filmed in France, but ALL aspects of the project are French as the show was filmed, recorded, and edited with French camera and recording crews, the artwork on the package and special box set (more on that in a minute!) were created by a French design team; even the credits are in French. The only non-French parts: the three Americans and one Dane on stage and the photos shot by Englishman Ross Halfin.

The DVD will be available in retail stores in France only, at www.metallica.com, or you may order online through the record company at www.metallicanimes.com. There will be three formats available: Standard DVD in a digipack including a 16 page booklet, Blu-Ray DVD, also in a digipack with the booklet, and the deluxe limited edition box set (it's actually a tin) that includes the DVD, a copy of "Death Magnetic on CD," a Large T-shirt, laminated pass, and five exclusive photos (see it all below).

ที่อยากจะติงาน Frence for One night อีกคือ แพ็คเก็จชุดนี้ กระดาษ รูป ภาพปกค่อนข้างจะสวย แต่ไม่น่าทำให้มันดูบาง ๆ เลย ถาดพลาสติกก็บางจนแตกร้าว แล้วก็ 5 วีดีโอ นั้นจะบอกว่าไม่ต้องเอามาก็คงไม่มีใครว่าอะไร เปลืองเนื้อที่จริง ๆ ราคาแพงด้วย
sub eng เลือกแล้วก็ไม่ออกในส่วนของ Interview. ไป ๆ มา ๆ ผมว่ามุมกล้องของ cunning stunt ยังดีกว่างานชุดนี้อีก

ก็หวังว่า live in mexico จะช่วยรักษาแผลใจได้ในต้นปีหน้า  :D

การถ่ายทำก็ไม่ได้ใช่ระบบ HD ด้วย ภาพออกมาไม่คมชัดเท่าที่ควร ผมดูดีวีดีของ OMD ที่เพิ่งได้มาพร้อมๆกัน ภาพคมกว่าอย่างเห็นได้ชัดจริงๆ ระบบเสียงก็เหมือนไม่สุดๆ ที่สำคัญดูแล้วมันไ่ม่มันยังไงไม่ทราบครับ มันไม่ดุดันเลือดพล่าน เหมือนๆสถานที่มันไม่เข้ากับเพลงด้วย ผมว่าดู Rock Am Ring 2006 ยังมันกว่า 10 เท่า

France for One nightก็ถือว่าเป็นโชว์ประวัติศาสตร์ของพวกMETอีกโชว์เลยนะครับ ที่บรรยากาศสุดยอดมาก เพียงแต่ว่าset listยังไม่เพอร์เฟคท์สำหรับแฟนๆเท่านั้นเอง แต่เชื่อว่ายังไงพวกเราก็ตามเก็บตามระเบียบล่ะครับ พี่JKโนรีโมสว่าไงครับ 555+

Trapped Under Ice ที่นานๆ จะเล่นซักครั้ง ก็ไม่ค่อยให้อารมณ์ร่วมเท่าไหร่ แต่ถ้าเทียบกับบรรยากาศและภาพโดยรวมของคอนเสริ์ตแล้วก็สอบผ่านครับ มีตัดสลับกับบรรยากาศสัมภาณณ์เล็ก ๆ กับความคลั่งของแฟน ๆ แถบอเมริกาใต้ให้ชมกันด้วย

ดูดีวีดีMet..Live Mexico จบแล้วครับ ถือว่าทำออกมาได้ดีเลย ทั้งเมนู ระบบเสียง ภาพ มุมกล้องนี่ระดับเวิล์ดคลาส เพราะไดเรคเตอร์ก็คุ้นชื่อกันดี ร่วมงานกะทางวงมาเกือบ20ปีแล้วมั้ง ถือว่าสุดยอดครับ  เป็นไปได้อยากให้มาเล่นที่บ้านเราอีกครั้ง และอยากรู้จริงๆว่าจะจัดที่ไหน อิอิอิ

Metallica วางแผนผุดคอนเสิร์ตใหญ่ในปีหน้า

Peter Mensch  ผู้จัดการวง เมทัลลิก้า (Metallica)  ออกมาเผยว่า 4 สมาชิก ซึ่งประกอบไปด้วย ลาร์ อุลลิช (กลอง), เจมส์ เฮทฟิลด์ (ร้องนำ, ริทึ่มกีตาร์) , เคิร์ก แฮมเม็ตต์ (ลีด กีตาร์) และ โรเบิร์ต ทรูฮีโย(เบส) กำลังคิดการใหญ่ สำหรับการออกทัวร์ในปีหน้า 

โดยขณะนี้พวกเขากำลังวางพล็อต  สำหรับโชว์สุดยิ่งใหญ่  ซึ่งในความเห็นของผม มันจะเป็นโชว์ที่อลังการพอๆกับ คอนเสิร์ตระดับตำนาน อย่าง 'The Wall'  ของพิงก์ ฟลอยด์ (Pink Floyd)

"พวกเขากำลังจะวางพล็อตและรายละเอียดของคอนเสิร์ต ซึ่งผมบอกได้คำเดียวว่า มันยิ่งใหญ่แบบที่จะเป่าหัวคุณกระจุยเลยทีเดียว  โดยพวกเขาวางแผนจะเล่นแค่ 10 เมืองเท่านั้น และแต่ละโชว์จะยิ่งใหญ่อลังการมาก  มันเป็นโชว์ที่ทัดเทียมกับ 'The Wall' ของพิงก์ ฟลอยด์ เลยทีเดียว " Mensch กล่าว

...so this is the end my friends...
I mean, not of Metallica or anything like that, uh-uh... as James Hetfield himself said at the conclusion of tonight's 
World Magnetic tour at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia, 'we'll be coming back quite a few more times' ...no,
the end my friends of a tour which has taken in 215 shows over 992 days in 45 different countries.

The end of an end of a tour which saw Metallica go to Australia thrice times such was the demand
(I mean, what was it? 16 shows that those lovely, mad antipodean bastards drank up like the finest champagne
in comfy beer bottles?) .
The end of a tour which (for me) saw this band rediscover it's true heart and soul.
The end of a tour which saw these four men grow up a whole lot more than ever before.

It's the first time I've seen a tour end where everyone in the band hadn't grown tired of each other.
No fights.
No major grumbles.
No passive-aggressive games.
Just four men who were genuinely enjoying every night they brought this music to you, and furthermore,
genuinely enjoying their own beautiful, harmonious chemistry.

There is obviously a physical relief that their bodies will get some rest, some recuperation beyond two weeks.
But equally, there is the gnawing sense that this...this...well, 'this was fun and shit, we're gonna miss it quicker than we know.'
Because to me, Lars, James, Kirk and Rob plugged into  performances that were often transcendent in terms of
realizing another level to which this band can go as artists and performers. And as such, there has grown an enormous comfort
in the knowledge that their re-birth at the start of 'Death Magnetic' has flourished into a whole new life.

These shows (this tour) has seen Metallica play  unencumbered by the sorts of performance worries and stresses
that multi-platinum bands often get back-ache from. They've played with the spirit of kids again, and because they've
been having fun and not sweating the details, the details have been virtually spotless. Funny how that works...

But make no mistake, this ain't been no sloppy-Joe garage band trogging it around the place.
This has been a mighty operation reliant on  what must be the best crew anyone could ask for.
I'm not usually one for just throwing out statistics uninvited, but I'm going to because, well, they're pretty mind-blowing.

143 arena shows, 34 festivals, 29 stadium shows, 4 club/theater shows, 3 TV/radio shows, 2 Rock And Roll Hall of Fame shows...two natural disasters with the Icelandic volcano and the Christchurch, NZ earthquake but no shows lost
(unless you count a certain oyster incident!) ...approximately 56,000 beach balls have been dropped
(and word is that the carpenters and illustrious stage manager might well have consumed an equal amount of beers)

...seven new babies were born to Metallica crew members, there was an engagement (Tori to Trivett) and a marriage (Dewey)...there have been approximately 180 crew members for whom this has been a life taking up varying degrees
of 24-7 time; 14 have made it from the first show to the last. There are more stats but, ah, another day.
Needless to say, since the tour that became World Magnetic kicked off on May 14, 2008 to this, it's final day,
November 21, 2010, a lot has happened to a lot of people...

...and so it is that for tours to survive, let alone flourish, the family spirit must be here, there, everywhere.
Think for a second about that; it doesn't always mean 24/7 happy-shiney-people, but it does mean love and respect from EVERYWHERE at a show, from the band to the crew to YOU...

Lars had been talking to a few of the fantastic fans that travel thousands of miles to dozens of Metallica shows,
the next-level dedicated if you will, and he told them that he was also them, that he had done similar for Richie Blackmore.
He said he'd join them at the rail and get in there. And tonight, after the final note of the tour had been heard, after the 'final whistle' had been blown if you will, there was Lars, jumping down from the stage and getting right into that crowd
(Kirk being quick to join him) diving into the melee and coming up for air with that famous dirty, filthy grimace of Ulrichian joy.

It was great, a simple but immensely powerful (as well as pure) gesture. And you simply cannot fake that shit.
You really can't. And I say that not just because Lars said he'd get on the rail with the fans and did, I say it because deep down, there is a real kinetic charge that they all get from the fans. It's undeniable. You most likely know what I mean, and if you don't,
go to a show one day and learn!

So really, let me be clear once more. Yes, it's the end of the World Magnetic tour, but it's been a celebration of the new worlds, new places, new journeys and destinations I feel Metallica will now embark upon with greater happiness, enjoyment and fortitude than for many a year.  And as hard as I try to round this off by saying goodbye, well, it isn't is it? Metallica is 30 starting in January 2011...and given the appetite I've witnessed even during these last three Melbourne shows, we'll be hearing from them sooner than later (they already announced Rock In Rio next September before officially ending World Magnetic, that tells you something). I have no inside knowledge and no details of anything whatsoever, but I'm telling you goddamit that I'm right!
