ไม่น่าเชื่อว่า โพลล์เปรียบเทียบ 2 วงนี้ถูกถามบ่อยมากๆใน progarchives.com แถมผลการโหวตสูสีกันมากๆ

ปรากฏว่า Yes ชนะไปแค่ 52.3 % ต่อ 47.7 % เอง

โดยเฉพาะกระทู้ http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=50714&FID=42
ที่รวบรวมคำถามที่เปรียบเทียบ 2 วงนี้ในประเด็นต่างๆ โดยบางครั้งมีวงอื่นๆเข้ามาด้วย

มาคิดเล่นๆ อาจเป็นเพราะ นอกจากจะเป็น 2 ใน The Big Five แล้วทั้งสองวงมีอะไรคล้ายๆกันมาก

เลยลองมาถามชาว TP กันดูครับว่า ชอบวงไหนมากกว่ากัน

" I've voted Yes in the last polls, and in that time I didn't apreciate Genesis as I do now. Now Genesis are one of my faves, I got all their Prog era albums.

This question has been done lately on my house, to my father, brother and me. My brother went with Yes, my dad with both(lol), and I really needed to think about it.

Yes has Fragile, CTTE, The Yes Album, Yes, Time and a Word, Tales, Relayer and Drama.

Genesis has Trespass, Nursery Cryme, Foxtrot, SEBTP, TLLDOB, W&W, We Can't Dance and Duke.

Both have the same amount of albums that I really like from them.

Though I have decided to go with Genesis, this time. Supper's Ready beats almost any Yes epic, exception would be The Revealing Science of God"

"Both bands are incredible, and both produced some of the biggest masterpieces of prog. Both are highly original, and both bands have crappy material... so far it would seem to be a close competition.

The reason why Yes wins (actually, no contest): their greatest works greatly surpasses that of Genesis. CTTE, And You And I, Heart Of The Sunrise, TGOD and Awaken are all better than anything Genesis ever did. Furthermore Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman, Howe and Squire all beat their counterparts from Genesis.

ชอบตรงเปรียบเทียบทั้งดีและไม่ดี

ผมฟังงานของทั้งสองวงนี้มาเยอะนะครับ genesisก็ดี ผมชอบ phill collinsด้วย แต่ทำไมก็ไม่รู้ ผมชอบyes มากกว่า
คงเพราะ the ladder ของ yes มั้งครับ

สำหรับผมคิดว่าเพลงของ Genesis เข้าถึงได้ง่ายกว่า Yes อยู่ระดับนึงครับ จริงๆ สองวงนี้เลือกยากมาก เพราะเป็นซิมโฟนิคพร็อกระดับยักษ์ใหญ่ทั้งคู่

ขอเลือก Genesis ครับ สาเหตุเพราะเพลงวง Yes เล่นยากมากครับ ผมเล่นไม่ได้ซะที (ไม่เห็นมีเหตุผลตรงไหนเลย)

ถ้าวัดที่จำนวนเพลง / อัลบั้ม
ผมชอบเพลงของ Genesis หลายเพลง มากกว่า Yes นะครับ

แต่ถ้าวัดจากเพลงที่ชอบแบบสุดๆ จริงๆ
ผมกลับชอบเพลงของ Yes มากกว่าครับ

ตัดใจเลือก Yes ละกัน -_-"
