DEPECHE MODE have announced that they will release a remix compilation entitled 'Remixes 2: 81-11' on June 6th, a release that will feature thirty-seven classic and new remixes of material from across their career, and which includes remixes from former Depeche Mode members VINCE CLARKE and ALAN WILDER among many others. The release will be available in a number of formats, including a 3-CD edition, an edited 1-CD edition and a boxset containing six 12" vinyl singles. See NEWS for the full tracklisting.

ECHO AND THE BUNNYMEN have announced six UK shows in September at which they will perform their 1984 album 'Ocean Rain' in its entirety. See GIGS for all the dates.

MICHAEL JACKSON collaborated on a number of songs with FREDDIE MERCURY in 1983 it has been revealed, and three songs from those sessions are to be released for the first time later this year. One of the songs is apparently a demo for the Michael Jackson and MICK JAGGER collaboration 'State Of Shock' while the two other tracks are called 'Victory' and 'There Must Be More To Life Than This'.

DAVID BOWIE is to release a live album in April, featuring a concert recorded during his 50th birthday celebrations at New York's Madison Square Gardens in 1997. 'Birthday Celebration - Live in NYC 1997' will feature a number of special guests including ROBERT SMITH, FRANK BLACK, SONIC YOUTH and LOU REED. See NEWS for the full album tracklisting.

ERASURE and PUBLIC IMAGE LIMITED have both been added to the bill of Surrey festival Guilfest, with both bands appearing on July 17th. Public Image Limited have also announced a short run of UK dates in May and June, see GIGS for all the dates.

GARY NUMAN and PRINCE are among the artists covered on 'Medium Rare', a special edition vinyl album recorded by the Foo Fighters for Record Store Day next month. The album of covers will be released via participating shops on April 16th. See NEWS for the album tracklisting.

MEN WITHOUT HATS have announced a trio of Canadian shows in Edmonton, Clagary and Castlegar in May. See GIGS for all the dates.

ANDY BELL of ERASURE has announced that he will be hosting his own clubnight, 'A Quiet Life', at The Queen of Hoxton in East London on May 13th and will be DJing and performing a short live set at the event which promises electro, pop and eighties music!

MIKE SCOTT of THE WATERBOYS will release 'In A Special Place' on April 25th, and album of his solo piano and vocal demos recorded at the start of sessions for the album that became The Waterboys' classic 'This Is The Sea' album. The fifteen-track album will feature early versions of some of the tracks that made it onto the album, alongside a number of previously unreleased songs. The Waterboys have also announced that they will play at the London Feis, in Finsbury Park, on June 18th this year.

OMD, EDWYN COLLINS and THE WATERBOYS will all appear at this year's Latitude festival in Southwold, Suffolk between July 14th and July 17th.

PEPSI AND SHIRLIE's debut album 'All Right Now' will be reissued on April 25th in an expanded edition that also includes a previously unreleased track 'Who's Gonna Catch You' plus a further five bonus tracks. See NEWS for the full album tracklisting.

ADAM ANT has announced a solo UK tour that will see him play eleven shows across the UK during May and June. The shows will be preceded by an acoustic set and a Q&A session, plus a screening of the film of Adam & The Ants 1981 tour film 'The Prince Charming Revue'. See GIGS for all the dates.

THE HUMAN LEAGUE, THE B-52s, THE FIXX and BERLIN will all appear on the bill of a special 'Totally 80s' show at LA's Hollywood Bowl on September 2nd.

THE WILD SWANS have announced their first tour for over twenty years with news of five UK shows in June. KATE BUSH has announced the tracklisting for her forthcoming 'Director's Cut' album which will be released on May 16th. The album will feature re-recorded versions of songs from Kate Bush's 1989 album 'The Sensual World' and 1993's 'The Red Shoes' as well as a short film which will star Robbie Coltrane and Noel Fielding. INXS will headline a new London festival - Southern Sounds - which will take place on Clapham Common on June 11th.

HAZEL O'CONNOR, BOY GEORGE, CAROL DECKER, MICA PARIS and RICK ASTLEY will all appear at London's Royal Albert Hall on May 5th, as part of a line-up paying tribute to Dusty Springfield

MODERN ENGLISH have announced their first UK and French dates for twenty years and will play three UK shows and a French show in June. See GIGS on the website for all the dates.

TOP OF THE POPS is set to return to UK TV screens this week with the BBC announcing plans to rerun the classic show every Thursday night at it's original time of 7.30pm. The programmes will be transmitted in the same week as the original episode and will start off in 1976 with each show being transmitted in its entirety.

CYNDI LAUPER has now announced four UK shows in the run-up to her appearance at the Cornbury Festival on July 1st. The shows - in Birmingham, Cambridge, Brighton and London - are onsale now, see GIGS on the website for all the dates.

PETER COYLE has released a new single entitled 'Just Say No' via iTunes, the track is the first in a series of forthcoming releases from the LOTUS EATERS frontman. See NEWS on the website for more details and the sales link.

THE STEVE MILLER BAND will reissue their live album 'Steve Miller Band Live!' on Aril 4th in a special digipac edition featuring live versions of the band's biggest hits including 'Abracadabra', 'The Joker', 'Fly Like An Eagle' and 'Take The Money And Run'. The Steve Miller Band's 1993 album 'Wide River' will be reissued on the same day.

ERASURE will release special 3-disc editions of their first two albums - 'Wonderland' and 'The Circus' - on July 4th. Both albums will feature two CDs and a DVD containing the original albums in remastered editions, plus a selection of b-sides, remixes, radio session tracks, promo videos and live footage. DURAN DURAN, ELTON JOHN, DAVID BOWIE, THOMAS DOLBY and QUEEN are among artists covered on the new album from actor William Shatner, a collection of space-themed songs entitled 'Searching for Major Tom' which will be released later this year.

THE HUMAN LEAGUE, HEAVEN 17 and the bands who made up Sheffield's electronic music scene of the early 80s are the subject of 'Electric Dreams' a brand new book from David Buckley that will be published on September 1st and is available for pre-order now, see NEWS for more details.

OUR FRIENDS ACOUSTIC have been forced to postpone their planned London show scheduled for May 12th to a later date which will be announced soon. The show was set to feature acoustic performances from TOYAH, RICK ASTLEY, T'PAU, CUTTING CREW, HAZEL O'CONNOR, KATRINA, JIMMY SOMERVILLE and NIK KERSHAW.

LINX will see their 1981 'Intuition' album reissued by Cherry Red on May 23rd. The release will feature the original album - which included the hits 'You're Lying', 'Intuition' and 'Throw Away The Key - packaged with a further six remixes as bonus tracks. See NEWS for the full tracklisting.

THE CURE have announced two special 'Reflections' shows to take place at the legendary Sydney Opera House at which they will perform their first three albums - 'Three Imaginary Boys', 'Seventeen Seconds' and 'Faith' - live in their entirety. The shows, on May 31st and June 1st, will be part of the city's Vivid LIVE Festival and will be filmed for a live DVD.

ECHO AND THE BUNNYMEN and ADAM ANT have been added to the bill of the forthcoming Guilfest Festival, joining a bill that includes ERASURE and PUBLIC IMAGE LTD. THE WHO's ROGER DALTREY has also been announced as headline act for the Friday night of the Festival (July 15th), playing after Echo and The Bunnymen while Adam Ant will headline the Good Time Guide Stage on the same day.

PETER COYLE has released a new single entitled 'Tell Them No' via iTunes, the track is the first in a series of forthcoming releases from the LOTUS EATERS frontman. KATRINA LESKANICH, formerly with KATRINA AND THE WAVES, will release a new EP entitled 'Spiritualize' on May 3rd featuring previously unreleased songs from 1999 that she wrote, compiled or collected for a planned 'uplifting and otherworldly' album that never saw the light of day. TOM TOM CLUB will mark their 30th year as band with a three-date residency at London's Jazz Cafe on July 15th, 16th and 17th, and the HMV Institute in Birmingham on July 19th.

NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL MUSIC have launched a new project that allows visitors to the compilation series' website to compile their own downloadable album, complete with personalised artwork. THE CURE and BILLY JOEL are among artists contributing to a new PAUL MCCARTNEY project to record new versions of McCartney's solo material and classic Wings songs. There is currently no release date announced.

ERASURE have announced that their new album - set for release on October 3rd - will be called 'Tomorrow's World' and will be preceded by a new single 'When I Start To (Break It All Down)'. The band will also tour the album internationally - including shows across South America, the USA, Europe and the UK - and all the dates are in the GIGS section.

RODDY FRAME has announced his first dates with a full band for over ten years with news of a nine-date UK tour in October where he will perform material from his solo career alongside a few favourites from AZTEC CAMERA. See GIGS for all the dates.

HEAVEN 17's MARTYN WARE will curate the 'Electronic Revue' at London's Southbank Centre on July 29th. The event - which Ware is curating with Mark Jones as part of the Vintage Festival - will feature live sets from ONETWO, HEAVEN 17 and guests, RECOIL, THOMAS DOLBY and up and coming electronic act Mirrors.

MADNESS frontman SUGGS will publish his autobiography via Quercus Books in Autumn 2012, while MORRISSEY is rumoured to be publishing his own much-anticipated autobiography in December next year.

JOHN FOXX AND THE MATHS are to take their excellent new album 'Interplay' on the road for a run of UK dates in October. The shows will feature material from 'Interplay' alongside classic tracks from early ULTRAVOX and John Foxx's solo catalogue. See GIGS for all the dates.

KATE BUSH is rumoured to be releasing a new album in November on the back of the success of her 'Director's Cut' album in May when she revealed that she had done most of the writing for the new record.

HEAVEN 17 will play their classic 1983 album 'The Luxury Gap' in its entirety at London's Roundhouse on October 14th using 3D soundscape composition techniques pioneered by the band's MARTYN WARE and VINCE CLARKE. The show will be followed the next night by a B.E.F. evening of performances of tracks from the classic B.E.F. 'Music of Quality and Distinction' albums which will feature guest appearances from a range of artists including KIM WILDE, SCRITTI POLITTI's GREEN GARTSIDE, MIDGE URE, GLENN GREGORY and BOY GEORGE.

FRANKIE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD's PAUL RUTHERFORD will see his 1989 solo album 'Oh World' get a UK release for the first time on July 25th. The expanded 2CD edition will feature the original album alongside 17 bonus tracks, including a cover of CHIC's 'I Want Your Love' produced by MARTIN FRY and MARK WHITE of ABC.

กรณีนี้เข้าข่าย one thing leads to another แบบที่ฝรั่งเขาชอบพูดกัน แรกเริ่มเดิมที ก็แค่กะว่าจะกลับมารวมตัวกันเพื่อเปิดการแสดง reunion รำลึกความหลังไม่กี่รอบ ทำไปทำมา กลายเป็นการออกทัวร์อย่างเป็นเรื่องเป็นราว โดยมีบันทึกการแสดงสดทั้งซีดีและดีวีดีออกมา แล้วก็เลยเถิดต่อไปจนถึงขั้นแต่งเพลงใหม่ จนออกเป็นอัลบั้มใหม่อย่างเต็มภาคภูมิ ซื้อมาเปิดฟังหลายรอบแล้ว ประทับใจมากครับ เพลงไม่ซ้ำซากเลย

ดีใจนะครับ ที่หลังๆมีหลายวงยุค 80's ออกอัลบั้มใหม่อีกครั้งและทำงานได้มาตรฐานเดียวกับยุค 80's เลย ที่เห็นๆตอนนี้ก็อัลบั้มล่าสุดของ OMD, Duran Duran, Ultravox ที่ผมว่างานระดับเดียวกับยุค 80's เรียกว่าฟังต่อเนื่องกันอย่างเนียนๆ ถึงแม้เวลาจะล่วงเลยมาเกือบ 30 ปี น่าดีใจจริงๆ

ตอนนี้อยากดูการแสดงสดแบบ Unstaged ของ Duran Duran ที่ David Lynch กำกับเวทีครับ

เคยได้ดูทางยูทูบไปแล้วครับ เป็นภาพขาวดำประกอบตัดกับภาพประกอบ ตอนดูไม่รู้ว่าเป็น David Lynch กำกับครับ แต่บลูเรย์ของ Duran Duran ที่เพิ่งออกมาเป็นคนละโชว์กัน

วงอาร์ตพังค์รุนเก๋าอย่าง Wire ก็ออกชุดใหม่แล้วนะครับ ตอนนี้กำลังฟังอยู่เลย งานไหลลื่นและมีมิติดีครับ
