ผลงานหลังจากอัลบั้ม three of a perfect pair เป็นอย่างไรบ้างครับ

ผมไม่ค่อยถูกโฉลกกับดนตรีของ King Crimson ในยุคที่สามซึ่งมี เอเดรียน เบลิว ร้องนำเอาเสียเลย แต่ก็ยังพอรับได้ ดังนั้น ผมจึงไม่อยากติดตามผลงานหลังจากนี้อีกต่อไปแล้ว แต่เคยซื้อซีดีผลงานแสดงสดชุด B' Boom มาฟัง ก็รู้สึกว่าเล่นได้มันส์ดีครับ

ยุคหลังของ KC ที่น่าสนใจคือยุด 1991-1998  ที่เป็นยุค Double Trio  คือ ช่วงอัลบั้ม Thrak และชุด DVD Deja Vroom หรือชุดแสดงสดช่วงนั้น เช่น Vroom Vroom
   Drum X 2  -  Bill Bruford / Pat Mastelotto
   Bass X2 - Tony Levin /  Trey Gunn
   Guitar X2 - Robert Fripp / Adrian Belew

เล่นเพลงส่วนใหญ่ยุคหลังจาก Discipline เป็นต้นมา คือ Discipline / Beat / Three of a Perfect Pair  และ  Thrak
ผมฟัง CD แสดงสด ชุด Vroom Vroom ซึ่งประกอบด้วยชุดแสดงสด 2 ชุด คือ ที่ New York และ Mexico City ในปี 1995 & 1996 ฟังแล้วตกตะลึงเลยครับ  ถ้าถามความเห็นของผม นี่น่าจะเป็น Line Up ที่ดีที่สุดของวงทีเดียว และ Performance ของวงสุดยอดมาก เล่นเพลงอะไรก็เพราะไปหมด

ช่วงหลังจาก period นี้ (2000-2003) ก็เป็น Line Up 4 คน คือ Robert Fripp / Adrian belew / Trey Gunn / Pat Mastelotto มีผลงานคือชุด The ConstruKction of Light และชุด The Power to Believe
  มีความพยายามรื้อฟื้น Double Trio อีกครั้ง ช่วงหลังจากนั้น (2007-2008) Fripp, Belew, Levin, Mastelotto, Gavin Harrison แต่ไม่มีผลงาน Studio Album ออกมา เป็นเพียงการออกทัวร์ไม่กี่ครั้ง
  Robert Fripp น่าจะ Retire จากวงการดนตรีแล้ว จากการให้สัมภาษณ์ในปี 2012 และอนุญาตให้สมาชิกที่เหลือใช้ชื่อ Krimson Projekct ได้ ก็มีการออกทัวร์ต่อเนื่อง และไม่มีผลงาน Studio Album ออกมา
  สมาชิกล่าสุดของ Krimson Projekct  ก็ยึดแนว Double Trio ยุครุ่งเรือง ประกอบด้วยสมาชิกใหม่ 3 คน คือ Julie Slick (bass) , Tobias Ralph (drums) และ Markus Reuter (on touch-style guitars) ร่วมกับสมาชิกเดิมคือ Adrian Belew / Tony Levin / Pat Mastelotto  เล่นเพลงจาก King Crimson ยุคหลังปี 1981

จากการไปดู Crimson Projekct เล่นที่ Citta Club เมื่อเร็วๆนี้  ก็ประทับใจในระดับหนึ่ง แต่เมื่อฟังเปรียบเทียบกับผลงานในช่วง Double trio  ในนามวง King Crimson ยุค1991-1998 แล้ว ฝีมือยุคหลังสู้ไม่ได้ครับ ทั้งที่เล่นเพลงเดียวกัน ต้องอธิบายว่า ฝีมือของ Robert Fripp และ  Bill Bruford ไม่ธรรมดาครับ ยากจะหาใครมาเทียบได้ รวมทั้ง Trey Gunn อีกคน  โดยรวมก็ทิ้งกันขาดครับ
