อย่างที่ทราบกันนะครับว่า Porcupine Tree ในยุคเริ่มต้นนั้นมีเพียง Steven Wilson คนเดียวเท่านั้น ซึ่งเขาเล่นเครื่องดนตรีเองทุกชิ้น โดย Personal Release สองอัลบั้มแรก (+ 1 อีพี)ที่ออกเองนั้นยังเป็นแนวไซคีเดลิก และเขาได้ใช้ชื่อสมาชิกวงปลอมทั้งหมด (แบบเดียวกับวง Gorillaz ของ Damon Albarn) ซึ่งผลงานเหล่านี้กลายเป็นอัลบั้มที่หายากไปแล้วล่ะครับ ผมจึงขออนุญาตเอาภาพอัลบั้มทั้งสองและอีกหนึ่งอีพีมาให้ได้ชมกันครับ (โดยเฉพาะปกชุดแรกนั้นเห็นแล้วจะเข้าใจเลยว่าไอ้ต้น Porcupine Tree มันหน้าตาแบบนี้นี่เอง
